After Effects : Session 2

We started the session by adding changes to our last project and making it better. We created an adjustment layer and added a fill colour with two masks one with subtract so we can target a particular area to distort. We added a function in the evolution of the wave warp effect. Then we had to warp the text so we added a turbulent displacement effect to that then animated it. 

After this, we had to do a display of that composition on an old TV. We had an image in project files so we masked the whole foreground TV into three different layers and subtracted two of them. Then we added the final composition into TV as Tv was playing it in order to do that we had to use a corner pin preset so we can adjust the composition on the screen. After that was finished we also added some mov files of astronaut dancing to make it interesting. We added the background in retro TV composition and added blur and colour correction according to our liking. Now the fun part was to add a parallax effect as we had those layers we parented the final composition to a retro tv image and just animated a scale. This simple technique worked like a charm it was beautiful to look at. 

Afterwards, We had a session of exporting from after effects and media encoder as well. We got to learn about different settings and how the media encoder is very versatile in terms of rendering different formats. 

Then we proceeded to learn about Text Animation one of the most important parts of motion graphics. We wrote Example fonts using the text tool and then we added two masking layers on top of both of them and then used track matte to text layer so it can hide and we can create an animation. We animated the text and one shape layer as an abstract component. Now mainly we were focusing on graph editor as it is very important to understand graphs and how to make them work so we used graph on text and shape layers then in order to understand it more clearly we used graph editor to create a bouncing ball animation which was very helpful.

Making of the Planets..

In addition to creating planets for my project, I also wanted to create a template for the planets so that I could copy and paste them, changing the material and colour nodes to create a completely different planet. This way, I could use the template as often as necessary to create a bizarre planet for my degree project. The Davinci Result and Part 1 Post Production

 While working on a certain nebulae sequence, I encountered a big obstacle in my attempt to provide engaging VR material. I tried my hardest, but there was a lot of distracting noise in the footage, which took away from the intended visual effect. I set out on a quest of investigation and testing to save the sequence and improve its quality because I was determined to find a solution. I found a potentially effective solution after researching other options and talking to other creators. DaVinci Resolve is a potent video editing programme that is well-known for its strong noise-reduction features. Equipped with this fresh understanding, I enthusiastically tested this method in the hopes of reviving my problematic nebula sequence.
