Animate; Session 3

Image
W e Started the session by looking and discussing about poster layout as our main project designing is next week. We were asked to write a blog about which poster stands out to us most in layout format . I took a glanced through all types of them but one which stucked in my mind was a poster by TATE BRITAIN PICASSO AND MORDERN BRITISH ART. (The poster) According to me this is a stand out poster because of its layout and title placement. All the important information is highlighted and less important is not. Colour theme and image placement is impressive. I want to create something similar (The layout of Poster) Then we discussed about the book which contains all the information on how can we design something which is nice to look at from other people's perspectives like posters, webpage etc we were told to write main points of understanding. The book is                                                                                                   ' 100 Things Every Designer

Unity Session 3

In today's session we continued the world interactions but this time it was damage zones and enemies.  First we added a damageable zone sprite from the asset and gave it a collider just like collectibles only difference was that the life was subtracting from the charachter as it passes through zone. This was easy past because we did this before and in script editor only one thing was supposed to change that was health +1 to -1 that was it. We tested it and it was successful.  We moved on to enemies afterwards. We added a robot png to asset folder from the handout files and made it sprite. We made a new script in script folder named it enemycontroller because we had to animate enemy into scene and programme it to take one health on interaction with charachter. We also had to animate robot to move vertically and horizontally on its own. We programmed that too and also added health decreasing script to it and then tested it. It worked and we moved forward to Animation. Animation was a

Animate Session 3 - Navigation and Poster work

In today's session, We learned mainly about navigation and walked near to brainstorm the idea of our final project. First, we set the pixel size of canvas which is used by posters. Width: 640   Frame Rate: 30  Height: 960   Platform Type: HTML5 Canvas  Then we made 5 layers named  1. Action 2. Labels 3. Buttons 4. Text 5. Images First, we added a stop function in the Action layer so that it can hold the intro page until any interaction. We added different labels on the gap of 10 frames each that are different pages for the poster. we labeled them as page titles. Then we progressed to design buttons. After the buttons were designed we duplicated them in the library changed their titles, instance, fonts, etc . After that we arranged them in layout of a poster. we added main menu button on intro page and other various buttons on main menu ti navigate to the page audience is interested in. In addition to that we also added map and tickets button to main menu so they can book their tick

Jumping Animation : Rotoscope (Kind of)

Image
In today's session, we learned a little bit more about masks and how to animate them. The term used to describe this is Rotoscope.  First, we worked on last week's project until the material was ready to be distributed. After that, we got the material. We also discussed videography and watched one short film titled neighbors which was related to the 2nd world war in which 2 neighbors starts fighting over a flower and destroy each other's houses, family, and ultimately themselves.  The film We were given a task to Animate something like that in which we had to some between frames of a video to give the subject a stop motion and flying-like feel.  We were intentionally provided imperfect footage so we can learn something that commercial editors don't always get desired materials but we have to learn how to improve them so they can be used. In our footage, the green screen set was not sufficiently lighted so after removing it we were having some noise or grains of it. We

Open Processing : Session 1

The Open Processing:  This week is something new. We learned about digital art created from code javascript. We started by signing in open processor website which is used for creating art from code javascript and P5js.  We started by looking at the basics of javascript and how basically it works on the logic of maths and graphs to create art. as soon as we opened the code there was already one base code written with an ellipse that can work we had a trail on that we had a lecture on how it works and we played around with it a little bit. After that, we learned a bit about the graph and how it is different in computers. Then we had to make a triangle on our own we started from the line then made our way through the triangle. How many points does it have on X-axis and Y-axis?. Things like that. we got to learn so many commands.  like color fill, stroke, random, lerp, We also learned how to animate stuff by commands in which we can add pixels related to time. We got to learn about if co

Adobe Animate -Interaction (Session 2)

Image
We started the work with an introduction to the session and discussed the final task for the London museum. We looked at some of last year's work and got a better idea of what to do. In animate we made a new document named bug. With properties  Width: 960    Frame Rate: 30 Height: 640   Platform Type: HTML5 Canvas Then we made 4 layers and gave them names like Action, Label, Button, Animation. We made a new button clip in the library and designed our button with 2 components to give it a 3D look. Then we animated the button a little bit gave it a hover color and pushed down the effect in pressing it. In another video clip, we made a new bug and gave it animation. We brought the button and Animation into their respective layers.  We had to label the animation layer 10 frames late because that is the sequence that would play when the button is pressed, thereafter the coding process was easy because we can add the script in any layer and animate provides us with presets of animation.

Unity (Session 1,2) Ruby's Adventure

Unity  is a versatile software that works with C# laguange to develop games 2D or 3D. This software is also used for creating AR(Augmented Reality), MR(Mixed Reality), VR(Virtual Reality). This application is supposed to play a major role in creating the metaverse.  The UI is very intuitive and good beginners can learn easily in a short period of time and can create basic 2D games easily. We started the session by discussing the same information in class and looking at the unity layout. We had projects handouts from the canvas so we could know what are we building. The first project is a small 2D game called Ruby's Adventure.  The link to Project handout Ruby's Adventure   To start we created a project using a 2D template. We imported the tutorial resources (project files) into the assets folder in unity. We had to install some packages from the package manager. We installed a 2D tilemap editor, Sprite, and Sprite editor.  Thereafter we created a new scene and saved it in the

Project Rembrandt

Rembrandt was a Dutch painter famous for self-portraits. He was one of the greatest visual artists in history. We started the lecture by talking and discussing the history of art mainly paintings from various places and times. We got to understand about ideologies and mindsets of artists in their times and how current affairs affected their artworks.  After that brief lecture, we were provided Rembrandt project files mostly images of self-portrait paintings.  We got to know the aim of the project was to learn about - Sequence and their settings in Premiere pro. - What difference does it make from working in different frame rates(25,50) -Morphing cut between the photos -Introduction to Animation.(position, scale, rotation) -Playing around with the opacity In this whole project, we got to learn about most of the things in Premiere pro. We started by selecting the particular codec for our project and its importance of it. Then we imported all files into our source window and dragged some
